OpenInterview.me is a technology platform. We are not an employer, staffing agency, employment agency, recruiting firm, hiring manager, or representative of any employer or recruiter. We do not make hiring decisions and do not control any employer's recruiting, screening, interview, compensation, offer, onboarding, or employment process.

This Privacy Policy explains how OpenInterview.me collects, uses, and handles information you provide when using our platform. It does not create any employment, agency, or contractual relationship between you and any employer, recruiter, or hiring platform.

Information We Collect

When you use OpenInterview.me, we may collect the following types of information:

• Profile content — professional bio, job title, location, and other information you choose to share on your public profile.
• Video content — profile videos you record or upload to the platform, hosted via Cloudinary.
• Resume — documents you upload to auto-fill your profile fields.
• Employment-related information — work history, skills, qualifications, and other career information you provide or that is parsed from your resume for use on your profile.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, and interaction timestamps, collected to improve the service.
• Device and browser information — IP address, browser type, and operating system for security and analytics purposes.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and display your public interview profile.
• To parse, organize, and present career-related content from your resume or profile inputs.
• To send transactional notifications about interview requests, scheduling, booking confirmations, and reminders.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions.
• To support features that help you prepare, organize, share, or transmit employment-related information to third-party employers, recruiters, job boards, or hiring platforms where you direct us to do so.
• To improve and maintain the platform, diagnose errors, and monitor security.

AI Processing Disclosure

OpenInterview.me may use artificial intelligence, machine learning systems, parsing technologies, automation tools, and other software systems to process information that users voluntarily upload or provide through the Service.

Such processing may include:

• Resume parsing.
• Profile generation.
• Information extraction.
• Data organization.
• Content formatting.
• Career-content generation.
• Application-support features.

Users remain responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated or processed information before using, sharing, or submitting it.

Employment-Related Data and Third Parties

Where the Service includes features that transmit or share your profile, resume, application materials, or other employment-related information with third-party employers, recruiters, job boards, or applicant tracking systems, such transmission occurs at your direction and on your behalf.

OpenInterview does not control what third parties do with information you direct us to share or transmit. You are responsible for reviewing and understanding the privacy practices of any third-party employer, recruiter, job board, or hiring platform before directing us to share your information with them.

OpenInterview does not sell your employment-related profile data to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Public Profile Notice

Information placed on a public OpenInterview profile may be viewable by employers, recruiters, hiring organizations, search engines, and other visitors depending on profile visibility settings and platform functionality.

Users are responsible for determining what information they choose to publish publicly.

SMS Notifications

SMS notifications are entirely optional. You may provide your phone number and check the SMS consent checkbox on your profile editing page to opt in. Opting in is not required to use OpenInterview.me. We send transactional messages only — no promotional or marketing SMS. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for assistance. Video Content

Profile videos are uploaded directly to Cloudinary, our third-party video hosting provider, using server-signed URLs. Videos are stored on Cloudinary's infrastructure and served via their CDN. Cloudinary may process video data in accordance with their own privacy policy. By uploading a video you grant OpenInterview.me a license to display it on your public profile. You may delete your video at any time from your profile settings.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share data with:

• Service providers — Cloudinary (video hosting), Twilio (SMS), Stripe (payments), and infrastructure providers, under data processing agreements.
• Third-party employers, recruiters, job boards, or hiring platforms — only where you have directed us to share or transmit your information as part of the Service's features. OpenInterview is not responsible for how these third parties use, store, or handle the information you direct us to share.
• Law enforcement — when required by applicable law or valid legal process.
• Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Mobile opt-in information and phone numbers are never shared with or sold to third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
